The BFI has been known to celebrate incredible filmmakers from the past and present, and the year came the turn of a Bangladeshi filmmaker named Satyajit Ray. This felt like a once-in-a-lifetime project for me as it allowed me to tap into my Bengali culture to create the cards for this trailer. The passing of the cards times up amazingly with the edit and music, creating an end result I felt truly represented the filmmaker and the culture he and I both share.
